How do I know my own IP address?

If only just to know your IP address, either to the LAN adapter and the PPP adapter, you can use a utility like WinIPCfg.exe or ipconfig.exe.

Windows 95/98/ME
1. Click on Start and select Run.
2. In the Run dialog box, type WINIPCFG and click OK.
3. an IP Configuration box will appear with the IP address information.

Windows 2000
1. Click on START, then select Programs, then select Accessories, and select Command Prompt.
2. In the Command Prompt type "ipconfig / all" and press the ENTER key.

Windows NT / XP
1. Click on START, select the Command Prompt or MS-Dos Prompt. OR Click on START, Run and type "cmd"
2. In the Command Prompt type "ipconfig / all" and press the ENTER key.
